Backcountry Cooking 101
Thank you for your interest in an Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) workshop.
Health insurance is required to participate in this program.
Backcountry Cooking 101 is half-day course that teaches you a few new skills about how to prepare meals during your next outdoor adventure. Learn about good backcountry nutrition, meal planning, and the use of different types of stoves. You will also get a chance to make and eat multiple types of backcountry meals. The program will be led by one or more of ADK’s Education Department staff.
Please plan on meeting at ADK’s Education Yurt Village at 10:00am. Class will run until approximately 2:00pm. Come prepared to spend some time outside in unpredictable weather. No prior backcountry cooking experience necessary.
