National Trails Day-South Camp Trail
During the work day on the South Camp Trail, the crew will focus on improving the trail by installing short re-routes and trail hardening in wet areas of the trail. Volunteers can expect to use basic hand tools such as hand saws, pruning loppers, pry bars, buckets, sledge hammers, and pick mattocks while working on the project. ADK Crew Leaders will provide instruction in the safe and efficient operation of all tools prior to beginning work. Anticipate hiking a total of 2 miles throughout the workday, carrying with us our tools, personal gear, and your lunch.
