Callaghan Lake Backcountry Snow Shuttle
This is a one-way transfer service to Callaghan Lake for Self-Guided Touring pursuits:
The drop-off point leaves you to independently explore and play in true untouched backcountry wilderness (un-patrolled and designated non-motorized zone). You are on your own. It is very important to have proper backcountry knowledge and skill sets. Be prepared to navigate in whiteout conditions, have appropriate tools and knowledge to navigate the terrain, proper outdoor gear, a buddy capable of companion rescue, first aid skills, and avalanche training. Cell phones work in some areas, and not in others. Prepare a trip plan and leave it with a family member or responsible friend, advising where you are going, and your time of return.
Departure from Alexander Falls Touring Centre is scheduled for 8:30am sharp. The Backcountry Snow Shuttle's passenger list is limited to persons equipped for Alpine Ski touring / Splitboarding and having an intent to explore the pristine backcountry of the Telemagique Traverse or the deep powder pockets of Morning Glory area before descending on skis back to the parking lot at the end of the day (gate is locked at 4:30pm). Max capacity is 8 seats Cost: $56.50 (includes early morning admissions to Ski Callaghan facilities)
Please note: this service is only available to our guests using Full Alpine Touring or Splitboard gear. Our Shuttle Operators
cannot allow you to load the snowcat with Snowshoes or Cross-Country Skis.
